The Marlborough Theatre is a unique venue in the heart of Brighton, a beautiful miniature proscenium arch stage complete with velvet curtains. The theatre is buzzing year round with theatre, comedy, music, workshops and literature events, we specialise in the weird, wonderful and unexpected. The theatre is also available for hire.
Brighton Fringe is England's largest arts festival. This year will see almost 700 events packed into one month, from Cabaret to Workshops, all taking place from 4 May - 2 June.
Sam's of Brighton Spiegel Supper Club will be in business every night throughout Brighton Festival Fringe*, transforming the Spiegel Garden's bar tent into a gorgeous restaurant where you can enjoy a 4 course pre-show dinner. Feast on Warm Crab and Chilli Tartlets and Roast Rump of South Downs Lamb, followed by glorious English Strawberry Trifle.
Drink in Brighton will be running the bars at The Spiegeltent for the Fringe Festival from 1st May to 3rd June 2013. The Spiegeltent is returning to its rightful place on Steine Gardens during this year’s Festival Fringe, for the first time in many years. A European mirror tent, the Spiegeltent is the ultimate cabaret and music salon.

As a key local supporter of the cause, Drink in Brighton is looking for your help in making this year’s campaign bigger and better than ever.
In these troubled financial times, one of the few success stories we've seen in the drinks trade has been real ale. No longer the sole preserve of tankard weilding, beard wearing 'enthusiasts', real ale now finds iteslf at the forefront of a national trend toward supporting small businesses, buying local produce and consuming organic ingredients.
The Marlborough is available for hire on a proposal basis, we are open to all ideas so send us as much information as possible about your event to firstname.lastname@example.org. In the past, the theatre has been used for plays, installations, comedy nights, music gigs, readings, classes and workshops.
The theatre has a maximum seated capacity of 60 theatre style and 80 standing.
For normal theatre performances (75 min max length, no interval) we charge a hire fee of £110 per night, this gives you access to the venue from 2pm on the day of your performance. If your performance is taking place over multiple nights (e.g. week long run) we can offer a reduced rate.
For this fee, we advertise your event on the Marlborough Theatre website, Facebook and Twitter, provide a front of house/box office service during the evening and are able to sell tickets online in advance.
Artists/Companies keep 100% of box office income.

The Marlborough Theatre is always looking for enthusiastic and responsible people to join our friendly team.
We always need assistance with tasks such as Box Office and Front of House Support, Press and Marketing Support, Production and Technical Support. In return you will be able to see shows at The Marlborough Theatre for free on shifts/days that you are volunteering and at a discounted rate at other times, subject to availability.
