Brighton Pride Hot Spots

For a while there, it looked like Pride had bid farewell to Brighton but luckily some rather nice people stepped in and saved the day! Hurrah! So, if you fancy celebrating with us this weekend here’s a few hot spots on the day. From pre-Pride breakfasts, to live act the Lip Sinkers or late night shenanigans with GAY BEAUTIFUL at Sticky Mike’s, we’ve got a host of festival fun to be had.
 
PRIDE BREAKFAST
 @ Globe
We will be opening at 10am on the day of the Pride parade!
We'll be serving bacon rolls and other breakfasty bits to either eat in or takeaway from our brand new amazing Tiger Style kitchen! If you prefer the breakfast of champions we'll also be selling bottles of Prosecco at the half price of £10!
 
PRIDE BREAKFAST
 @ Fountain Head
Every year it’s become a tradition to start our pride off at the Fountain Head with a hearty fried breakfast (veggie option available)! The doors will open at 10am with music, drinks, promos, cocktails and fun fun fun. Then at around 12-12.30 the parade passes at the bottom of our road.. Music and fun will continue until 2.00am
 
KITCHEN PASS FEAT. OPP @ Coalition
This will be the biggest and brightest way to celebrate Brighton Pride 2012 - get involved and be guilt free!
Get yourself down to the seafront and through the doors at Coalition where our DJs will be providing you with the ultimate soundtrack to bring your Pride Saturday to a close. From uplifting house and banging bass lines through to old skool garage, R’N’B and Hip Hop we’ll keep you dancing until the early hours with the hottest guys and girls on the seafront to keep your eyes busy too.
 
OPENHOUSE PRIDE PARTY @ Open House
Open House Pride party with DJs Just Jack and Big Nigel. We have an outside bar with music and a huge BBQ. Admission by donation.
 
THE LIPSINKERS
 @ Marlborough
Celebrate Brighton Pride with The LipSinkers - East-London's infamous troupe of cross-dressing superstars. A hilarious offbeat romp through popular music in all its glorious guises; high-kicking, prosecco drinking, gender bending live entertainment with dance, mime, satire, skits, dodgy magic, bumps'n'grinds, jazz hands and high fives. Topical, Trivial, Transvestite Mayhem! Enjoy your pride - they have none left!!

GAY BEAUTIFUL PRIDE PARTY 
@ Sticky Mike's Frog Bar
Stay Beautiful has always been a proudly pansexual club night with a strong LGBT element to our crowd, as well as what you might call a ‘gay’ aesthetic. So, we were thrilled when we realised that by a stroke of serendipitous luck, the next Stay Beautiful falls on SATURDAY 1st SEPTEMBER, bang in the middle of BRIGHTON PRIDE WEEKEND. So, for one month only, we’re renaming the club “GAY=BEAUTIFUL” and throwing the best glam-trash-alternative Pride party in town. So, whatever else you’ve been doing on Pride Saturday, be sure to end the night with us! 

SIGNALMAN PRIDE PARTY
 @ Signalman
Come and Celebrate Pride 2012 with us at the Signalman as we embrace the colours of Pride with our Fancy Dress theme ~ Anything under the Rainbow... We will have musical delights until 2am provided by DJ Dubock ~ we'll be serving fabulous food from our open air Signalman Kitchen and we're just a hop skip and a jump from Preston Park on Ditchling rise (opposite London Road Train Station). In addition we'll be raising money by asking for a £2 donation on the door and all the money we raise shall go directly to a UK based LGBT domestic violence charity www.brokenrainbow.org.uk
 
THE MUSIC BOX PRIDE DISCO SPECIAL

Come and celebrate Pride inside The Music Box! Residents Webb Twisco and Luke Finn are joined by RIP DIEGO coming from London to play a selection of Disco delights. Extra sound and decor added in the basement too :)

FORGIVE ME FATHER FOR I HAVE SYNTHED 
@ Sidewinder
The kings of 80's & 90's tuneage will grace us with a special edition of Forgive Me Father For I Have Synthed. Woohooo.. dancing on the tables etc! Also, to help feed all those hungry mouths we will be having a right sausage fest here at Sidewinder with a Hot Dog BBQ! Delicious sausages supplied by the Brighton Sausage Co. will be BBQ'd to perfection outside of our pub from 3pm until 9.30pm..
