The Official UK Air Guitar Championship Comes To Town

The UK Air Guitar Championships is a national competition for the best Air Guitarists that the UK holds. We are the oldest Air Guitar Championships in the World.
 
The competition is simple. Contestants sign up online or on the night, they pick a song and then play a fictional guitar as well as they can to the tune. The audience are the judges, they scream for the best and boo for the worst. It all may sound quite sedate, but it is ultimately bonkers and hilarious, you would not believe what people will do to win this inglorious title, a must see!
 
This competition is the longest running air guitar championships in the world. The competition was established between 1994 and 1995 by Jeffrey Louis-Reed and is still to this day the only Air Guitar Championships dedicated to those who love the music and those who would love to have been the musician.
 
The winner will be recognised in the Air Guitar hall of fame and will appear on various television programs and in the media. They will receive a selection of prizes including the infamous rock hand trophy of all air guitar godliness!
 
To be a champion you don't need to be good, or cool, you just need to get on stage, close your eyes and let the music take over your itchy fingers. The venues that we use are frequented by the best bands on the scene, so all who enter can say that they have shared the same stage as some of the greatest bands on the planet.
