Launched in September 2012, the Laine Brewery is proud to be continuing Brighton's fine brewing heritage. Our state of the art microbrewery takes pride of place in the North Laine Pub - a real temple for the worship of cask ale, with the brewer working in full view of the drinking public. The Laine Brewery is fast gaining a reputation for producing innovative and well crafted beers, with the Laine's India Pale Ale a firm favourite with locals and visitors alike. Special releases are timed to coincide with local events such as the Brighton Fringe, but make sure to watch out for the release of our Oktoberfest ale which will be brewed with a nod to our more international influences.

Brewed on the premises:

Laine's India Pale Ale

India Pale Ale (5% ABV): It's all about the hops in this US-style IPA.  Four resinous, floral varieties combine to provide a pint with a punch while remaining pleasantly balanced against a golden malty backdrop.

Laine's Summer Lovin'

Summer Lovin' (3.5% ABV): A clean drinking, light, bright, pale session ale, with a lime freshness and hints of popcorn and banana on the finish.

Laine's ESB

ESB (4.8% ABV): A classic British full-bodied bitter, brewed with extra malt, extra English hops and extra love. Expect rich caramel and burnt-orange notes, with an earthy, fruity aroma and a satisfyingly bitter finish.

 Laine's Porter

Porter (4.6% ABV): A rich, dark, malty porter with chocolate and coffee notes, lightly hopped with two American varieties.

Laine's Black Rock Stout

Black Rock Oatmeal Stout (4.5% ABV): Many beer fans are surprised to find that oatmeal stout has very little oatmeal flavour. Instead the oatmeal adds a slightly sweet, creamy, silky character to this traditional black stout.

Laine's NZPA

NZPA (4.6% ABV) A clean, easy drinking pale ale brewed exclusively with hops from New Zealand, which give the beer a grapefruit and light spice flavour, with a zesty, tropical fruit aroma.

Laine's Imperial IPA

Imperial (7.5 ABV) Big, juicy malt flavours balance with a huge, hoppy hit in this turbo-charged version of Laines IPA. Expect punchy, sweet, orange and peach flavours and a floral, citrus aroma to compliment the smooth alcohols and bitter finish.

Laine's Brighton Brau

Brighton Bräu (5.2% ABV) A British twist on a classic German style brewed with imported German ingredients, this cask lager gives the drinker full, rounded, sweet malt flavours and a well balanced, grassy hop character.
