The Marlborough was the first of Brighton’s pubs to cater to a predominantly lesbian clientele, but is very welcoming and popular with performers and artists of all sexual persuasion thanks to its lovely little theatre upstairs.  This hosts a quirky calendar of events from gigs, plays, comedy, and cinema, but it is also available to hire for private parties and group meetings.

With the pub itself divided into two distinct parts: the cosy Theatre Bar and the livelier main bar, you will generally find something happening most nights of the week from women’s pool comps, DJs, Open Mic, to Drag parties.  Their music policy is eclectic with Fridays hosting a Queer night of alternative and cheesy tunes. Or for the mellower of occasions, free wifi is available for those with laptops, book exchange, and heaps of old classic board games available to play with your mates.
