And there’s a hearty food menu courtesy of Chef Nick, to help get your contemplative juices flowing. The range of cask ales, ciders and wines served by Host Damian is the most exciting in Montpelier & Clifton and can be sampled either inside the pub, surrounded by the sumptuous new decor, or outside in the covered courtyard garden. The only problem is that with all that this great pub has to offer, finding your way out of the maze will become distinctly less of a priority. But unlike Cardinal Wolsey - of the other famous Hampton - who said “I come to lay my bones amongst you”, this Hampton says goodbye to its happy patrons at midnight during the week and 1am at weekends.
