‘Lounging’ in the daytime and lively at night, the Sidewinder is a large and bustling watering hole that's firmly entrenched in the nightlife of Brighton, attracting drinkers from across the city as well as plenty of Kemptown locals. It is also surely the only pub in Brighton to boast not one but two large beer gardens, one of which is heated and covered with sofas to create the perfect outdoor drinking space.  Children are welcome until 8pm.

There is an impressively affordable menu served until 9.30pm Monday to Saturday, which features handmade pizzas alongside the legendary homemade burgers and retro basket meal menu.  On Sunday spectacular roasts are served all day until 8.30pm – so no worries if you need that all important lie in!

There is something different happening each night at the Sidewinder: Mondays it’s Poker with a £5 entry fee and winners take the pot, there are often two tables running at this popular night; Tuesdays are all about the local talent with brand new Open Mic sessions; on Wednesdays it’s time to test your knowledge with the Sidewinder Garden Quiz – join quizmaster Adam for a journey through the quizzical depths of his mind (£1 entry per person, winners take the pot); Thursdays see the arrival of the weekly indie extravaganza ‘Ants in the Carpet’ with lollipops and alcopops galore!; with Friday comes the start of the weekend proper and what better soundtrack than that provided by local heroes such as the Danceteria guys, Harry K and Barry Dust?

Alongside the Sidewinder roasts served up each Sunday comes the monthly live music event ‘Vortex’ which features some of the best live acts around…all for free! With a vast range of different events happening every day, daily drinks promos, fresh and affordable home-cooked food and heated gardens with sofas and blankets provided…The Sidewinder just might be ‘where it’s at’.

The Sidewinder is now open from 10am every day for all you early birds, serving drinks and coffees, as well as wonderful breakfast baps from 11am.
