“A pool table and really good ales make this a fantastic pub, particularly impressive as there ain’t a lot else this far away from the centre. The food’s really good and I’m a fan of their reggae night too.”
“Being able to watch films in the pub is amazing – especially whilst eating pizza. We come here in the afternoons to play carrom too, and my housemate used to be reigning champion in their Playstation comp.”

Winner of a Best Bar None award in 2006, The World's End is a large pub that combines traditional décor (bare wood and brick, stone flooring, stained glass panelling, bookshelves) with contemporary touches such as the IT box, new artwork and even a chill-out area, enclosed within a beaded curtain. The big screen is as likely to show a classic movie as the footie, and, as well as pool, they offer games such as chess and carrom. Real ales, ciders and world beers head up an impressive drink selection, while the food is all locally sourced and made on the premises, with many meals priced at under a fiver. Thanks to a special deal with next door Pizza Hut, you can also get discount food from the restaurant and eat it in the pub. They offer a weekly quiz and regular DJ and open mic nights, as well as a monthly Playstation competition. Perhaps best source of potential entertainment, however, comes direct from the manager, Richard. A self-declared pool god, he will happily take on all comers.
Drinks Promos - 8pm til 11pm every night.
We also show all the Premiership Football on Sky.
