Winner of a Best Bar None Award in 2006, The World's End is a large pub that combines traditional décor with contemporary touches such as the IT box, new artwork and even a chill-out area, enclosed within a beaded curtain.
The big screen is as likely to show a classic movie as the footie, and, as well as pool, they offer games such as chess and carrom. They offer a weekly quiz and regular DJ and open mic nights, as well as a monthly Playstation competition!

Brugal Rum bring you a refreshing alternative to every day busking in Brighton & Hove. This fantastic new venture has seen many musicians sign up to play impromptu sets at 15 venues across the city who are a part of the ‘Busk Stop’ initiative.
Musicians can register for free with Busk Stop by supplying details of their act and Myspace account and/or web site for consideration. Members will then be able to busk in the designated Busk Stop pubs at any time of day. Just as with normal busking, any money collected by the musicians performing will be theirs to keep, with no limit on the amount of performances per day.
The aim of the project is not only to support upcoming musical talent but also to provide customers with a more varied and exciting visit to their local public house; which will also include some tantalising Brugal cocktails and drinks offers throughout the Busk Stop network. Every busker will be entitled to a free Brugal and Coke when they play, whilst customers will be able to buy them for just £2 during a performance.
All of the participating venues have been chosen specifically because live performances will compliment the atmosphere of each of them, while all Busk Stop musicians will be carefully selected by experienced local music promoter and ex-Freebutt operator Andy Rossiter.
Andy’s years of booking experience at The Freebutt have been to put to good use with the Busk Stop scheme. “I’m really excited to see this project develop and see Brighton’s pub and music scene become even more interesting than it already is, with musicians being free to play to an audience whenever they feel the urge and customers of the pubs experiencing some of Brighton’s talent in an informal atmosphere.”
